4th January 2021
Dear Parents and carers,
At the weekend teaching unions met to talk about how they could keep teachers and children safe in school. This was because they were worried that it was not safe to be in school with the current levels of the COVID virus.
As school leaders, we have looked at how we keep people safe and have spoken to the teaching unions. Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient staff available to fully open the school in a safe and secure way for all classes. It is therefore, with a heavy heart that we have requested Trustees take the decision to operate a partial opening of the school to vulnerable children and children of parents who are critical workers for the rest of this week and move to online learning from Tuesday 5th January 2021. This request has been agreed by the Trust. So, we will be moving to online learning this week from Tuesday 5th. We will keep reviewing this measure.
We will remain open for the children of key workers and for vulnerable children, including those with EHCPs. We will be contacting those families very soon. If you need a key worker place, please contact the school. The list of key workers is shown below.
Yours Sincerely
Clare Welbourne - Head of School
Peter Overton - Strategic Lead
